Is there a tank mount that allows you to mount the AI hydra's so the pucks go from left to right and not front to back? Seems like the AI tank mounts only allow front to back, in essence causeing me to buy two hydra 26s instead of one hydra 52?

Do you have the option of hanging them above the DT or do they have to be mounted to the tank and/or stand?

I did end up making one, albeit for a 20g QT tank. I happen to have the legs from the AI classic mounting rails (that I didn't use with the rails) and an extra EXT Hanging kit. I cut a piece of scrap wood and attached the legs to that, which rest on the rim of the QT tank. Then used the hanging kit/cables to hang a Vega fixture from the board.

Not sure what size tank you're needing this for, but this design may be able to be adapted for your purpose.

Here's a couple pictures of what I'm talking about. I didn't go to the effort of getting out the light and mounting it, but you should be able to get the idea. Just took it down this past weekend...or I would have taken a shot of it in action!

I bought these off ebay. 2yr ago. The guy no longer sells on there. But the place was called LE RUSSO designs. I think he was in cali. You can Google them. These are awesome mounts the wires go through the pipe. They were like 220 for both Inc shipping. These are quality mounts.
