I have a Hydra 26hd, a little over 2 years old and the UV leds both burned out running at just under 75% for 6 hours a day. Is there any way to replace these LED or is the whole unit for the scrap pile? I doubt AI will repair them as they won't tell me if they have the parts in stock, I have to send it to them so they can tell me what I already know and then offer a discount on an overpriced light that will have the same issue

Email ai support, they are either giving the lenses for free or a really cheap price…they are not expensive at all and their support team have been really responsive on this issue. Been going on for a couple of years now. You can also replace them yourself, many others have done it with ease

It's the led itself, not the plastic lense. AI won't tell me if they have the replacement led pucks in stock before I send it in which is 100% bs. They tell me I have to send it in, they inspect and quote, repair if they have parts. Why they can't tell me they have parts before I send it in is complete garbage. I have 4 ai lights and will never buy another ai product

I sent my other hydra26hd that just decided to not turn on to AV as it's just over 1.5 years old and ai gives the same run around. Send it to them before they tell me they don't have the parts to fix it

Shorter wavelength LEDs seem to have shorter lifespans. Hopefully, that will improve as LED tech gets better. But for now I'd get used to the idea of having to repair them. Should be fairly easy with a hot air rework station.

Reef Repair also an option.

I believe that's who I sent it to AV I think is his user on here. This other will go to him for led repair when he's done with this. I'd rather give him my $ than ai
