Hydra26HD Mounts, Im with stupid <----

Sooo...

I have a Old Perfecto 125g, Lipped...

I just received two Hydra26HD with the Black single mounts... Red Sea mounts that is. (I'm a dumbazz)

And yea, you know the rest... They wont mount to the back lip at all, and are barely working on the sides....

Question is.... Can I trim the lip where I want to mount them in the back? If yes, How would I go about doing so?

Orrr... Is there a possible DIY feat of engineering/Bush fix that I could possible pull of?

Can't send them back for a refund? There is a simple diy to mount those. The result isn't as nice as the AI ones, a little more flimsy and they start to rust after a bit so good to use extra paint after fabrication. Didn't do a build series of photos but you get the idea. I used the heavy duty home Depot shelf brackets it takes two different sizes to fit together. The skinny one fits the fins of the light perfectly and with the right SS screw holds them nicely. Used a steel angle to connect the two together. Good luck.

Alright, Still open to ideas on how to incorporate the mounts I already have... I bought them used in the selling forum here... refunds not gonna fly
