Hi Randy,

I am interested in using a product similar to this

https://www.homedepot.com/p/Quikrete-20-lb-Hydraulic-Water-Stop-Cement-Concrete-Mix-112620/100318534

In comparison to emarco cement.
I have seen numerous people use this before but am unsure how it works / how safe it is. I was ideally planning on getting drynrock and going from there but I have a ton of live rock in my tank I would like to utilize.

Do you see anything in the ingredients that it’s not safe or a bad idea?

Thanks!

If its cement it will have a high ph and that will enter the water and kill things if it gets too high

It is partly aluminate cement that has a particular history. That is forbidden to use for house building because the houses broke down after some years. And I believe it is a risk to get a high aluminium value in the water before it has hardened.
