I’ve been using 3% hydrogen peroxide at 1mL/10 gal occasionally to treat a recurring red slime out break. I’ve noticed my chaeto in the refugium is slightly faded and more brittle.

Am I slowly killing my chaeto?

I dosed h2o2 for about 2 months for treating dinoflaellettes and never had an issue with my chaeto. I was also removing the chaeto and soaking it in rodi water twice a week to kill and clean the dinos off it.

Thanks for the input. I’ll trouble shoot the chaeto issue...nutrients, iron, iodine etc.

I’ve got a cyano strain that is resistant to chemiclean. I’ve used it in the past and it worked great. The last 2 times I tried it, it had minimal effect.
