So I have just started a copepod culture tank in a 10 gallon, has been up for roughly a month now. Within the past few days I have noticed more and more Hydroids popping up on my glass. I know they are not a worry to have really in an actual reef tank, but have read that they can be detrimental to a pod culture. I was dumb and didn't clean the chaeto I put in there for the pods, and think that's where they originated from. What is the best course of action to get rid of these, or would staying status quo be alright and I am just overthinking things?

Pick them out from bottom of stems. Not uncommon to see

I'd nuke it and start over. If you have droids with the pods you essentially have a droid farm. They'll feed on the pods.

Sure enough that's what happened. Pods went basically extinct over the course of a few days. Starting over with a new setup, so fingers crossed this time!
