I have a barnacle. Yes this! I enjoy watching mine grab at the water. They do molt, so every now and then I will see a shed of the exoskeleton floating around. But it's harmless. I've had mine in the tank for a year-ish. It has not multiplied or caused any problem whatsoever. It's pretty brave for living in a war coral.
