Hydroids... How to get rid of them?

i have quite a few patches of hydroids. What is the best way to get rid of them? Will any fish eat them? Any ideas?

Which hydroids do you have?

Mine seemed to disappear when moved to an ULNS with some pruning here and there.

Mine were colonial hydroids btw. I have tons of the white stringy ones but they don't seem to bother anything.
