I have hydroids in my tank there not going crazy but I see them in there slowly spreading and it's starting to worry me. Is there anything at all I can do to kill them or slow them down. I have a uv steralizer that I haven't hooked up that I'm planning on hooking up that I'm hoping it will kill any free floaters but please tell me there's something I can do to kill these things.

If they are the tube kind, I have heard of putting epoxy/super glue over the whole .. colony. For the softer kind, I don't know. I have found, although they are insanely unsightly for us aquarists, they do not seem to do any harm. None of my corals have been hurt/stung/restricted by the hydroids.

It seems like I have some of the hard tube ones and some of the soft ones as well. Any other ideas besides super gluing them
