Tired of picking at them any other way of getting rid of them? I saw some articles about nudi's eating them but no idea where to find the nudi's. Thanks

I don't think there is an easy way. The only way I know of is to starve them.

I had a ton of them wayyyy back in my first 30 gal frag tank. They are a symptom of low flow, detritus buildup, over feeding particulates etc.

Basically you need to starve them out. Easiest way is to increase the flow, wash your food to remove excess oils/residues, use a lot of carbon, improve mechanical filtration, skimmer. Etc. They go away fairly quickly once you really start attacking some of these areas. First and most effective step is to majorly increase flow. I recommend you elevate the frag rack and place several power heads underneath. Don't go small on the power heads either. Water clarity is also very important, any yellowing or cloudyness pretty much means you will never rid yourself.

I would love to see a photo of your setup as well as a plug with the hydroids on them. I can probably give you better advice from that. Manual removal is not a long term solution, it might help if you have a valuable frag you want to save, but you will NEVER get them all.

Jake I manually removed all the ones on the false AOG's you gave me and they haven't come back. Literally take a day sit down with a tub of water and start plucking away at each one you can pull from the tank

Jeremy I have done removal but they are back within a few days... Ninja u bring a good point with overfeeding if they feed off that i may over feed. the flow though i have a nano koralia powerhead, and a tunze for flow as well as my return. I thought hydroids fed off light do they feed off proteins too?

aptisia X should kill them off but even when you think they are gone make sure to keep putting it in that area. Or maybe could try your luck with a butterfly.
