I noticed a few white spots on the glass a few days ago and didn't pay much attention to them. Today the glass is covered with these tiny white snowflakes. Are they hydroids and methods for controlling them?

They can sting corals which will make them upset and not have good polyp extensionMy understanding is that they're harmless unless you keep dwarf seahorses or other tiny fish. I don't know if they'll damage the corals I'm adding in a few weeks. Haven't researched that far yet.
