Hydrometer and Refractometer

I just purchased a Refractometer. Would I need to get a Hydrometer as well, or will the Refractometer do the job?

Nope, the refractometer is all you need for salinity.

Just buy the right calibration fluid. Don't use RO to calibrate and don't use a solution that needs to be shaken (like brightwell or BRS brand) in order to use. You can make your own using Randy's recipe or look for AquaCraft brand. If you want old school, then I really like the Tunze glass hydrometer as a backup.
