Hydrored's 300 Glass Cages Build

How many inches of water from your display drains down into the sump when you power everything down? Similar to you, I'm going to be running returns at 2" from the top lip and Synergies, so I'm assuming you really only lose about 1" to 1.5" of water from the display during a complete shutdown (without check valves).

Here is the lighting setup so far, the tape is the length of the tank. 4 Blue Ray Pros and 2 A360x Blues.

@Peppe thoughts on a 3rd A360x? Not really going for PAR here from the Kessil’s, just shimmer, but my OCD bothers me with the 2 lol, you sent me down this road due to your YouTube videos with this setup. Thanks for blazing the trail..

Non reef-related hobby warning for those who have an interest:

I decided to build a racing sim in my upstairs theater room. I went ahead and placed the order today with Digital Motorsports but is coming from Dublin-

The only thing I have left to pick up is a monitor, will probably go with the Samsung 49" G9 Neo as I really do not want to do a triple monitor setup. If anyone who follows along with my build thread has any interest I'll post some updates. Feel free to add to anything I may be missing

welcome to the club! I'm a 10 year iracing member and when im not playing with my reef tank im out racing real cars and/or rotax go karts.

I agree with this 100%. Work on tanks, work on cars, load car up for Road Atlanta, Break stuff on car, tank had a hiccup while you were away racing, fix tank, then fix car, ran out of something for tank, go buy that, realized your tires on car are shot, buy new tires, etc. etc.

Never ending cycle lol.

Awesome! Everything is scheduled to arrive today. I really wish I had more time to get out on a real track, I haven’t been since 2014.

I would say about an inch, I use check valves but even when I just cleaned them recently my sump wasn’t close to overflowing at all.

My 220 has only been full/running for a month, so haven't been out of town long enough to worry yet....because I'm building my 3rd transmission since May :expressionless-face:

G9 NEO, Pedals, wheel base, monitor mount and a few odds and ends showed up. The rest is still sitting in Ohio for some reason.

Thanks, that is my new 911 992 GTS that arrived about a month ago. Pic of your Skyline?

Everything arrived today but had one setback. I wear a 30-32 waists band and the seat is too small, pushes on my hip bones, of course I can’t return it so plan B.

Grid Engineering makes some really nice stuff-

Finally had time to work on my other hobby, monitor I received had a line of dead pixels so went for triples since it was cheaper. Hopefully will have it up and running this weekend.

On another note the reef tank is cruising along, have some thick patches of cyano showing up ever since I’m showing nitrates but the corals are not complaining so letting it roll.

Nice. One of these days, I will get around to a setup like that. But for now, just building some kayaks for fishing lol.

Now that makes for some serious gaming.

Where did you get the suspension plunger brackets that mount to your 8020 profile and tension the cable? I've been looking for something that heavy duty all day and can't find it anywhere on the Net.

Very nice! Griplock has a lot of different options. Knowing the name of the part is definitely half the battle. :zany-face: Thanks again for the help, @Hydrored
