Hydrored's Planet 210

I use a Trident but still test weekly, I’ve never seen it dive like that in a day
Trident. Now that is cheating. :)

So the LC is by now bound up and gone. I understand that it binds with PO4 and becomes kinda inert. (Might not be the proper scientific definition). Just caught up in skimmer or socks or sump as a grit.

So if the ALK consumption period extends beyond -- I don't know -- 24 hours or so then it is likely coral uptake.

Might be a question for Randy over in the chemistry forum. I believe he has written some stuff on lanthanum IIRC.

Here is my current PAR and light settings for my Stratons, two end lights are set lower than the rest, I use the corals as it's where the lights meet or furthest points from the lights. Lights are 10 inches off the water

Well, the heater is going back, no idea why @Innovative Marine would build heaters for large tanks and provide a 56" cord. Will not reach from the control cabinet to the mid chamber. Total disappointment

Edit: @Innovative Marine reached out to supply a longer cord, hopefully it works out!

While the saga continues, go to do skimmer maintenance and got shocked this morning, Helios is putting 123.6 V @Innovative Marine failed controller now this. Completely unacceptable for a new product.

I will put a ticket in, you can not depend on this heater for your reef tank

Well, troubleshot it some more, the heater putts 48 AC V even when it's showing not heating, found out one of the 2 heating elements was the one doing it, failed seal.

Dang. Did that feel like more than a tingle?

Having a bad hardware week myself: Hydra 26 dead. CaRx blown up. APEX DOS dead after 3 months. Chasing my freaking tail around here.

It was definitely more than a tingle, it nailed me then of course I hit my head in the process and didn’t have many nice things to say.

Worse part, back to traveling tomorrow

it’s always something

I've only had a few tingles from tank water so far. Knock on wood.

But I spoke with God once on a construction site. Had the breaker not tripped, or had I lost consciousness, it would've been game over. Top it off, the very deck saw that electrocuted me, which I then stupidly placed on a ledge 8 feet above me, came crashing down on my head. All this happened while I was in a 4' X 4' X 12' chimney chase with ambient temp so hot your nostrils burn when you breath in. What a bloody mess I was. Decided then I should borrow money and finish college early.

Got this tenuis frag for 5 bucks from wholesaler, was a brown ugly thing and starting to show promise!

Received a Mellow Yellow, Captain Crunch, and a Renegade from SBB corals today. I'll grab some pictures when I get home this week from traveling.

Those things are selling like hot cakes. This new model comes along just as I went long on 3 Salifert kits, so i guess I can be patient.

So worth the money, I put all my nitrates kits up on Facebook market place and all sold the same day.

Just bought Royal Exclusiv return pumps and 2 6095’s

Getting rid of the COR20’s and Gyres, will be selling 4 COR20’s and 2 350 gyres with IPV6 controller and extension magnets

Got both Royal Exclusiv return pumps installed and have an extra on the shelf. These pumps are dead silent, I knew they would be as my skimmer pump is the same. So far I’m happy just an insanely expensive investment for 3 of them
