Oh fantastic, the temp and ATO graphs have disappeared. How do I get them back?

To set minimum off time keep track of your logs and see how often it is turning on. if it is turnin on every 45 minutes as a minimum then increase you minimum off time. The max on time is there to keep it from over filling the sump or making a drastic change in salinity. As long as that is not an issue you can increase that time some. I would make small changes each time and see how it goes,
The graphs have disappeared on the app, both temp and ATO. How do I get them back?

What does the screen look like? There is a way to go from tiles, text and graphs on inputs. Are there any tiles?

Thanks for the reply. I have another question, XP8 just arrived. Which will be the main, the hydros 4 which is already running or the xp8?

Once the collective is setup and both controllers are in it you can make which ever one you want the preferred wifi master. It does not really matter as far as how it will work.

Can you post a screenshot of you ATO output settings? Also what pump are you using for the ATO pump? What type of output is it plugged into? I have used a dosing pump on the drive port for over a year without any issues and it has a 20 gallon storage tank as a source. The tank is only a 42 gallon tank.
When using the dosing pump as the ATO, how far can that move the water? Say my reservoir is 13 feet away, would it have any issues getting the water there?

My DI storage and the pump are in my garage. That is 35ft from the tank. The tubing runs up through the attic and down a wall to the tank. I would say 13ft should not be an issue.

Okay, the Hydros4 shows, the XP8 shows and also a collective that added its own name, I didn’t name it. The XP8 shows no response, the Wi-Fi 4 bar shows not responding even though it’s not plugged in and I tried to delete that bar. It won’t let me delete it since there’s an ATO light connected to it, which isn’t plugged in either. The lights on the XP8 are green, the mode is blue, the Wi-Fi is breathing green.

Update: I finally got the wifi4 bar to delete.

Are you saying you have a collective without a controller in it? Once a controller is in a collective it will not show individually unless you are in bluetooth. When you start a collective make sure you have the controller selected that you want to add first.

Here’s the screenshots, no clue where to go from here. I was following the setup on how to make a collective, around step 6 it did t look the same. F723DE6E-454C-41FC-8FD1-0172D9CEC657.jpeg 621E1103-A98C-4FF3-8956-760EBAC758E2.png 1EE22350-5F38-4C29-BB3B-923D13B216AC.jpeg

Select the Control X4 and make sure you are in it. Then start the collective while you are in the Control X4 to make it your first controller in the collective. Do you have the two connected together with a command buss cable and the terminators hooked up. Also make sure there is no power pack hooked to the Command X4. Those cannot be used together with another buss power source such as the XP8. Once thr collective is created then click on devices in the menu and click the + sign to add the XP8. Also make sure both have current firmware.

They are connected with a command bus cable, a terminator on both and no power pack to the X4. If I select the collective I get a gray bar saying make it active but it does nothing. Same with the XP8, same gray bar. This pops up if I leave my finger on it for a second. Both still show no status if I’m under the cloud, if I’m under Bluetooth the XP8 shows up with its info. No collective shows up there. C4 is running current firmware, I assume XP8 is also since I just received it. If I click on update there’s a blank gray screen.

Are you sure you are not in bluetooth mode? You have to be in wifi mode and have internet access to start a collective. Override Only Mode is shown when you are in bluetooth mode. When you select the left menu it should look similar to this Press the + in the menu and you should get a screen with a button to Create New Collective. Selecting that should get you to the third screenshot with the warning. Is this what you are getting?

I saw all that before. I don’t think the Wi-Fi is connected all the way on the XP8. It goes from green, than red at times. It also beeps once and I can hear it clicking on and off. The button on the side of the XP8 does nothing, is this correct? Should I try to delete it and start over again? Unplug both, put the power brick back on the X4. Plug the XP8 back in, make sure it’s connected to the Wi-Fi. Unplug both again, remove the power brick from the X4, connect them back up using the command bus cable and terminators, and start over following the collective steps? Certainly list at this point. Good thing is the X4 still has it’s programming and works, no matter how many times it’s been unplugged (:

All the button on the side is is a circuit breaker so it is not tripped then nothing will happen. If you can select the XP8 in normal mode and not bluetooth then it is connected to wifi.

I deleted the XP8 and collective. Started over, it’s up and running as a collective, without a hiccup this time. Thanks for all your help. Now onto the XP8 plugs.
