Hydros Control X4 can't find any wifi network during setup via Bluetooth

I did a software update on the phone but it didn't change a thing.

The phone that works for me has android 11. The one that doesn't is android 5. The android version is probably the key. It may need to be above a certain version to work correctly because the app is using a function that the earlier versions do not support. I am guessing that you are not going to be able to setup the wifi on that phone.

I tried using my old phone to change something in the setup on an output and it did work for that so it may be just the wifi function that will not work on your phone.

That would be particularly upsetting. The set-up should have the lowest requirements since the phone should be nothing more than a display and all the action happening inside the control unit.

They may have changed it so it would work with the newer version of android firmware. I know iOS 10.3.4 doesn't work either since I have an iPad running that version and it does not work. The iPad I use has iOS 15.1 on it. Unfortunately both android and apple love to obsolete their older devices making you update to a newer device. That is the main reason I have a newer iPad and phone is most of the apps I use on them will no longer work. They won't update and the site that I used the app for are no longer compatible with the old app. One of those apps was Safari. It quit working on several websites since I could not update it to the newer version on my iPad. That forces you to by a new device.
