Hey
Im looking into getting in the hydros system. Im thinking of grabbing a x10 with the iv from a local reefer.

What are yalls recommendations for the next piece? Xp8, kraken, wave engine? Something else?

I like the wave engine, I have 4 octopulses running on mine and it’s nice. I use the minnow for dosing and like it as well although it’s slightly off in dosing amounts. That’s the only 2 hydros I have

Yeah i was considering selling my aquamai and mp10 for some octo pulse with the big wave engine for my 9g

I’ve really been thinking about a Kraken. I’d pair it with a launch, as I have 2 MP10, 2 XR15 Pro that are 24V, and if I replace my Tunze 9004 it will be DC. I bought an XP8, but have not put it in as I keep thinking about the Kraken and Launch.

Xp8 are essentially mandatory IMO. The wifi bars are not good alternatives in any way or form.
Various sensors such as ph/temp/leak are great ideas if you dont already have them with the used X10 you're buying

The kraken seems like a good way to consolidate power bricks. I like my wave engine and octopukse, I have a battery backup on it as well. The launch looks like a good controller to add!

If you dont end up using your xp8 I'll take it off your hands hahaha

I see i think I'll get the xp8 next then, i was originally thinking of grabbing the wifi bars just to get started since $650 isnt as big of a hit on the wallet all at once compared to $800-$900
