Does anyone have any input on setting up a schedule for 2 350 gyres on opposing sides? Just looking for a good sps flow that won’t rip up my torches and euphyllia on the bottom. I have a conventional 120, just blew my space invader chalice off the mount yesterday. I was using the stock controller until it quit working both channels, had some dealings with the coralvue support and had to run my pumps somehow so wave engine it is. Any input will help, thanks in advance.

A lot of t his will come down to trial and error I'm afraid vs what others are using. One of the key components is the displays maturity as it relates to coral growth. Also what coral composition do you have that is dominate? Soft, lps, or sps? That will come into play at least in my opinion.

The wave engine reacts pretty quick to change so you can run through the 10 or 11 presets and see how the display reacts. My guess would be to start with a Sine Wave and adjust the cycle duration and speed range. You can also make multiple schedules and bounce between sine, square, etc. The document below will give you a visual representation of the patterns. Hard to say how that will translate to your display.

I just use the sps reef with my two gyre 330's and two MP40's with my wave engine. But I'm about to change the way I program the pumps for my reboot and use a gyre program that alternates between the two sides every 4+ hours (kinda like the tides). I would choose sps reef or gyre mode and go from there. You'll have to play around with the settings a little bit to match your tank size.

Just ordered my hydros yesterday for the same reason. This is my second gyre controller that took a . Reached out to Coralvue, however they responded saying they no longer deal with maxspect. So I contacted maxspect direct and am waiting for a response. In the meantime I ordered my hydros wave maker from bulk reef. I literally have the same setup as you. 120 gallon mixed reef. What settings are you running on your controller and how do you like it? It was the cheaper alternative to buying two MP40’s.
