I've had this little dude a week now. My man never rests. Everyday routine is bury my rocks and at night I unbury. Do they ever calm down and just hang out?

Wasn't quite expecting constantly. Going to work itself to death.
Honestly, they do unfortunately. In most cases these Guys quite literally work themselves to death. Many don’t have a tank established enough or a deep enough sand bed to have them thrive long term. Even if they’re feeding its common for people to misinterpret how much they need to feed to stay thriving and fat (I’d personally say ~8x a day if pellets only but ~4-5x a day if it’s mixed frozen - Mysis, Brine, Algae, Cockle, Muscle etc).

Mine sleeps in it’s cave at night but is very active all day and eats like a pig!

They are great if you don't mind them rearranging your sand daily. I ended up selling mine since it buried $$$$ of corals

I have my coral just above his sand on my rock line thankfully. He has a huge cave system. I wish he'd spend more time there. Lol. He eats readily at feeding time. I guess if he's happy and active I shouldn't complain. Had I known I'd have elevated my rock work when I first scaped my tank.
