Are 2 Hypereef 150s on my 40 gal tank too much?

Way too much at 100 % anyway. They have a pretty good amount of power. You would probably be fine with 2 of the 50s, def fine w 100s. I thought about trying just 1 on a 40, that’s what I have on a 34 G running w the controller never over 50% power and it grows SPS just fine

Thanks for your reply. I will be removing one tomorrow. Then i need to figure out the best program for the light. I got the Nicrew controller for them but it didn’t work right so they refunded me and now I have a Kessil Spectral Controller X

Im running 2 50 watters at 100% over my 40b right now. Seems pretty good so far.
