Has anyone ever used a Kalk reactor or Kalk in their ATO reservoir to maintain PH while in hypo? Could their be any negative effects from doing it?

Why are you worried about pH during hypo?

Because hypo can cause ph to drop/fluctuate, and if it drops too low too many times it could potentially be an issue for the fish.

PH can be an issue during hypo, but I dont know of anybody who has used kalk to control it in this situation. Usually we recommend baked baking soda.

So just bake a bunch a head of time to have on hand, or will it not "keep"? Where could I find dosing amounts? How different is that vs an over the counter PH buffer?
