Hyposalinity

So I have ich in my DT I’ve managed to catch all the fish and place in another tank. I have left space at the top as I’m not sure what to do in this “hospital tank” either hyposalinity or cupramine treatment.

can someone explain to me the basics of hyposalinity how it works, does it work, what salinity, how long, and how quick ? Cheers
