I have a hyppo tang for 2 years. this morning for the first time, I saw it picking up a shell and carrying it. He took it to the back of the tank and dropped it. A few seconds later, he Picked it back and continued to carry it. He finally dropped it on the other side of the tank. My 125 G is 6' long, and it moved it at least 5'. Is it common?
I have a Foxface in that tank, for at least 5 years. So far I did not have any aggression issues. But for the last 2 or 3 days, it seems there is a power issue going on. The hyppo is trying to push the foxface, and for the first time, hyppo ate first at the nori clip.
I am not too worried about the foxface, but found that interesting. Could carrying the shell something to do with it. Establishing he is the boss?
