I’d on these guys?

Just noticed these little worms in the sump. And ideas? good, bad , or indifferent? Should I get my pitchfork and torch?

Either nematodes or planaria flatworms. If it is planaria and you said, you had cut the planarian , it can regrow into 5 pieces hence, It will regrow into 5 new planaria worms. This is why it’s a bad idea to crush any planaria or other pests you find in your aquarium.
They will show up in two forms:

• White planaria (Procotyla)
• Black and brown planaria (Dugesia)

Some Planaria can change color according to what they eat.
