what ever it is looks cool ! LOL
LOL very bad if it came off a frag. It's a nudibranch. Zoa variety if it came off the zoa plug.Yeah but not sure if bad or good!
looks like a berghia nudibranch. if it is its good, they eat aiptasia and majanos. if its small it might be a zoa eating nudibranch. best way to tell is if the nudibranch developed the zoas color
It looks like a nutibranch of some kind. They are usually very specific feeders. The eggs often come in on coral and hatch later in the tank. Of course, by the time they're noticed, the nuti has often eaten the coral it came in on. If it's a zoa eating nuti, it will often take on the color of the zoa it is eating. Did you buy coral in the last month or so? I bought some sympodium from Live Aquaria a few years back and dipped it before putting in my tank. About a month later, the coral was dying. What I thought was coral polyps turned out to be nutibranches that mimicked the polyps.
That’s crazy! Yes purchased today at LFS
I really liked the look of the sympodium I purchased, but I didn't replace the coral when it died. I'm not sure why.
