looks like a berghia nudibranch. if it is its good, they eat aiptasia and majanos. if its small it might be a zoa eating nudibranch. best way to tell is if the nudibranch developed the zoas color

It looks like a nutibranch of some kind. They are usually very specific feeders. The eggs often come in on coral and hatch later in the tank. Of course, by the time they're noticed, the nuti has often eaten the coral it came in on. If it's a zoa eating nuti, it will often take on the color of the zoa it is eating. Did you buy coral in the last month or so? I bought some sympodium from Live Aquaria a few years back and dipped it before putting in my tank. About a month later, the coral was dying. What I thought was coral polyps turned out to be nutibranches that mimicked the polyps.

It’s just brown looking.

That’s crazy! Yes purchased today at LFS.

Any coral can have bugs. I trust Liveaquaria more than the LFS in my area. The coral "looked" clean after dipping and nothing came off the coral when I dipped it, but my eyes are not as good as they used to be. I missed the eggs. It's easy to do. They're very small.

Good luck with your LFS purchase. Just dip and observe closely, and if possible, quarantine a few months. :) I really liked the look of the sympodium I purchased, but I didn't replace the coral when it died. I'm not sure why.

I have gotten a few zoa nudis in before. Dip dip dip!! Even when I do I know I can’t always see eggs so I will go back and dip again a few days later try and break the life cycle of the nudis.
