Was sold as a hammer so they clearly didn’t know what they was selling but does anyone have any idea on what type or torch coral it is? Thanks

If they didn't give it some fancy name and increase the price by 800% then it's just a torch.

Are you serious???!!! What? You did good!
Nice! Torch!
Wow! For the name...
they usually name them from types coming from certain areas. But, they probably don’t know the location.
It’s hard to tell... I know it’s in actinic lighting... purple with light tips are usually
Dragons Soul torch (from Indonesia)
Several other popular ones come from Australia
My best guess is, Dragons Soul...
Congratulations! It’s pretty awesome, regardless of name or where it came from! I think you should name it! :)

Green torch :)
I agree, but green in white/regular lights? I wasn’t sure? It’s super nice. I love them, but I can’t afford them, not on 1 item... so, I look and look and look... and, dream of finding one at a normal/affordable price! Lol :)

Also, it’s sitting next to a green one...
Is it green? I believe it...
I just thought it looked more blue/purple...
I really don’t know. I’m sure it’s a torch! Lol

Columbus Ohio? What store did you get it from???

And what hospital do you work at? I'm at Grant (EP Lab) always looking for more reefing friends!

I wasn’t sure if you meant me or the original thread person...
If me...No, sorry. Columbus, Georgia. I work at Piedmont, everything is under that name now. It used to be called, The Medical Center. I don’t have a torch. I wish I did! Lol
But, not yet. I have a mixed reef. I have several of each type. Xenia, GSP :( , 3 mushrooms, 1 leather, 2 favia, 1 Acan, 3 stylos, 3-4 cyphastrea, 3-4 Leptoseris, 4 Goni’s, 1 candy cane, 5 types of Zoas, 2 types of clove polyps... and, my newest... Galaxea (I think) /possibly, Cyphastrea. There’s a bit of a debate (on here) about that.
Anyway, I know the feeling. I’m pretty sure I’m the only reefer in Georgia. Lol
I get most of my corals from Living Reef Orlando and, they are awesome. Everything arrives well packed and healthy. And, all have grown nice & healthy. I did find a reef store in Alpharetta, GA.(outside Atlanta) called, Pure Reef. Which probably doesn’t help you, in Ohio.
1 ?.... this is probably a stupid ? .... Have you ever been to Tidal Gardens? The place/guy ... that does all those YouTube videos, on reef keeping?
I guess, when you live in Georgia and don’t have much to chose from (reef stores.) It looks like the Disney World for corals and reef keepers!
Just curious... I’ve never been to Ohio. Too funny/weird... someone mentions Ohio and I’m (secretly) thinking of a coral store. lol
Good luck to you! Happy reefing! :)
