I am dealing with moderate amount of diatoms for a few weeks. I have just recently switched to RODI and dosed microbacter 7 in the last 2 weeks as phosphate was higher than my liking. That seems to be fine now but I have recently noticed a change in its look. It is now curling up on the sand and just not sure if it is still diatoms I am dealing with or now it is Cyano of some sort.

as you can see one of my hermit crabs is munching on it and I have noticed my tang is picking it every so often but obviously it is not enough to clear it in the rate it develops. That sand has been turned over less than 24 hours ago. The flow has been directed towards to it a bit more and now it looks like on the above picture.
Ph is low actually below 8. Carbonate hardness is as expected and Ca is too high. but I am hot convinced of any relationship between these water parameters and the diatoms/Cyano.
As per ph I have a feeling I am dealing with not enough oxygen in the water as my skimmer is not running yet.

Microscope identification would be needed to positively Id them.

I know. I have no microscope atm but other feature observed make me think this is actually dino as it disappears by the morning and reaper with the lights on
