I’m back into reefing and addicted!

Thanks for the great pictures and posts. I just bought the same lights for my biocube. Did you use the standard 3M double sided sticky tape? When you got your lights, did they come with any wiring directions? I think I have it figured out, but would love to avoid a mistake.
Yes standard 3M double sided tape. I don’t think they came with directions, if they did they were minimal. I just connected the two strips together and the strip in back I connected the power cord. You will have one cord attached to nothing. You are going to love the results!

Welcome to your new home for saltwater reef aquarium resources and fun! Welcome to the family! :D

did you purchase the dimmer or the sunset controller?

I didn’t but looking back I probably should have. I have them kick on about 1 hr after the sunrise lights come on and off 1hr before sunset lights go off. Have you ordered yours yet?

Not yet. I'm slow to make decisions. Im not crazy about laying it across the feed hole so I was trying to come up with an alternative. ;)

Well I needed to clear some real estate so my first birdsnest frags . Really need to frag my torches but tissue is still connected to all the heads. 1 year is coming up fast!

All right, went to my lfs to drop off some birdnest frags for store credit. Wanted to pick up a couple of emerald crabs, ( mine passed away RIP) . Left with the emeralds, a porcelain crab and the most expensive coral I’ve ever bought. What is wrong with me?!?!?

All right, my newest addition quickly puffed up to about double the size it was at the lfs (lower par in my tank?) . I had to frag some of my gsp and attach it to a smaller rock to make more room on my sand bed. Zoa garden is coming along. Next post will be my 1 year post, wahoo!

Hello, I kept a mixed reef tank for 14 years. I’m back at it after 10 years. In October I set up my 32 gallon Biocube. I’ve spent every day on this forum learning all the changes in this hobby since I last had my reef tank. Wow, there’s a lot that has changed! I’ve definitely learned a lot. Thank you all. Happy Easter!

Nice, Welcome back to the hobby! I started with the Biocube 32 as well. I learned so much. It was a great learning curve experience. I took everything I learned with my biocube 32 and upgraded to a 75g 2 years later. There has always been something new to learn each time. I will always be greatful to the Biocube 32.

I just saw this monstrosity this morning. I’ve had emerald crabs through out my reefing journey. Bought my first one in the 90s to battle bubble algae and found them so interesting I’ve always had at least one. Back on September 29th I posted I picked up two emerald crabs because I thought my other had passed. I guess I was wrong, this is the largest Emerald crab I’ve ever seen! Wish I could get a picture that would convey its size better.
