I’m bored

That’s not from high no3/po4. Those happen from trying too hard. Playing wack a mole chasing this and that.
I ain't chasing and putting things into my tank. But I want stability as well.I bottomed out phosphates and they came could be coincidence but idk.

Stability comes from doing less. Less testing and worrying. Leave your skimmer off when the lights are on.

Yes it’s not a big tank tho it’s a 20 high canister filter, ai prime hd and a jabao sow-8
I’ve never used a canister filter. Let me look into how they operate and I’ll get back

I’ve stopped everything but the monthly phosphate and alk check plus daily feeding but the acros have bad color and cyano is getting out of hand.
Nitrates are 10-15 and phosphate .2
I’ve tried the skimmer off during day but it seemed to grow the cyano faster.
What would you do in my situation?
Almost two year old tank.

Are you still carbon dosing?

Can you explain why?
Because you are not altering things. Stability by definition is:

The less someone tinkers (changes things) with their tank, the more stable it becomes on it's own. A tank will find it's own balance in time. When someone is constantly adding or taking away things...it makes the environment unstable.
