I’m lost with cloudy water

Hi guys !
I’ve been dealing with Cloudy water for like 2 weeks nows and don’t see any improvement, I’ve been dosing microbacter7 but don’t see anything changing much, my water is not crystal clear, it starter after adding my new livestock at week 6 after cycling my tank (reading 0 ammonia and 0 nitrite) nitrates is little bit higher probably because it’s a mea tank about 30

do you have anything that could help me?

Please use emergency ICON only for real emergencies. Run carbon do a water change could be bacteria bloom common in new tanks. I would recommend using the search ICON in top right corner of screen you can find a lot of information from peoples post. Carbon helps with water clarity but bacteria blooms usually go away after a couple weeks. You can stop dosing the micro7 until it clears.

No worries were happy to help was just giving you another resource. Double check your flow isn't throwing up fine sand as well. Sometimes leaving the tank alone for a week or two will fix it. We call it the hands off reefer solution.

Ok, I will double check the flow, the sand isn’t moving much, but will definitely stop dosing mb7 and will wait, is it safe to add corals ? I read somewhere that coral might help with the cloudy water and will consume the bacteria

Have you tested you parameters yet? salinity Magnesium, temperature, nitrates, Calcium and AlK? If they are in a good range you can get a cheap hardy coral place it in a spot where it wont take over your entire rock scape like an island you will thank me later. I doubt the coral itself will fix it but can help with biodiversty which takes time by slowly adding coral and clean up crews that bring in life and bacteria.

Salinity and temperatures is being checked, not the other parameters, because I don’t have any corals, I didn’t want to start dosing, but I have all for reef that I can start dosing right now, haha yeah I will definitely do that, I don’t want them to spread everywhere

Cloudy water usually indicates bacterial bloom. During these blooms your Oxygen can be depleted leaving your fish gasping. If your tank is cycled.... I would stop dosing MB7. Activated carbon will help you clear it. A UV will defintely remove it .

Do you have any uv recommendations that I could use on the red sea nano 26g something that would not be in the sump, I don’t have one

Don't dose before you have coral I am just letting you know of things to test for keep to keep it simple and once you understand the basics of testing and keeping a stable environment you will be fine. Water changes will keep most of parameters in check until you have a good amount of coral. I am just telling what to test for so you don't have another thread that says why are my coral dying and then you didn't check parameters.
Watch these series there very helpful and even I enjoy them after years of reef keeping.

Is that the Red Sea Nano? Does your tank have a sump?

You can get one of the Hang on UV depending on your budget. Just depends on how you want to do it.

This, running UV will solve your issue if it's a bacteria bloom, if you have enough room in the back filtration you can add green killing machine, I added one to my fluval evo 13.5 solved this issue

Thank you so much, I have the test kit to test all those from red sea so I will start using them
