too much light??

you have 50 people here trying to help you, help us help you

2 Mexican snails
U probably need more than just 2 snails and ideally a variety to address different parts of the tank. Perhaps some nassarius snails to stir up the sand bed and eat waste and left over food.

U r also approaching 1 year in the tanks life which is the next hurdle/ make or break as the tank reaches the next stage of maturity. The algae depicted is not alot, so I think the tank is fine and will pull through.

Best of luck

Okay so my tank is 29 gallons and I just don’t know what to do but I like the advice you are all giving me. Do you guys suggest to add more to the clean up crew remove the tang and add more live rock right.

Please see my earlier post and go through the questions I asked.

Those answers will help us help you.

Sometimes, more clean up crew has the opposite effect of what you want.

Answering those questions will help us guide you in the right direction.

yes more clean up crew, established live rock will help, are you running too much light??

you can buy a rlly good cuc on reefcleaners, john will hook you up. My rocks were covered in algae, a week later i was finally seeing more coralline and rocks were stripped. if you buy a cuc package it ships free from him.
Okay sick should I just order them online from him

Hi Jack! I have a much newer 29 gal SW tank with no coral and I have had algae that looks like yours. I don't have much live rock yet either. My solution has been to crank down the lighting. Lots of people to help you here and I am not an expert by any means. Keep calm and reef on. At least you are not fighting Ich like I am right now. :)

Okay thanks I will get more established live rock and I don’t think it’s too much light

Get ONE Fighting conch for the sand bed. See how that goes. Then add nasasrius snails. Asteria Snails. That should do you.

If you want algae eating fishies, a blenny. If you ABSOLUTELY WANT A TANG, get a small BABY Fox face lol. At least it's not aggressive, and will eat ANY (Pretty much) algae you might get...bubble..etc.. In other news, I have both a fox face and convict tang in my tank..I caught my tang sifting the sand for algae..what a little piggy. But it's awesome he has that appetite lol
