so several months ago I purchased a Dr.G 5 stage RODI system. Long story short, I didn't have the system mounted, so I knocked it over during some tank maitnence and busted the RO membrane housing. So I purchase one off of amazon and I cannot get this thing to stop leaking (the membrane housing right where the cap screws in). This is despite nearly a whole roll of plumbers tape that I place on it, it still has an ever so slight trickle. On top of that, I decided I mine as well replace my filters while the system is down, which is fine and dandy, however, even Dr.G doesn't seem to carry the ammonia blaster refill on their website? And the way it is set up, it connects to the RO after the ammonia remover stage, so it would be pointless to place DI resin at that part, no? I have a pre-filter, two separate carbon blocks, an empty cartridge and then my DI. Any suggestions for the leak or what to put in this canister?

Sorry, no experience with that type, but usually a trickle means a crack somewhere or a gasket not seeded or sized right. Happens to me if I try to buy and off brand filter for my fridge. Just a thought. Sorry you are having issues. Have you talked to Dr. G??

I have. Dr G is currently out of the country and will not be back until this week. I am hoping I can purchase a replacement cap for my original as I never had an issue with that membrane housing. However, I am going out of town Wednesday morning to NY for a week and have a friend watching my tanks. I was hoping to not have to leave for a week with a constant water leak from my RO system but I may not have a choice unfortunately
