So As some of you may know I just have set up a 135 gallon reef. The tank has been going well and all fish seemed healthy...or so it seemed. over the past week and mostly this weekend I took some frags out of my main display and put them into the new tank. The corals were coral pest free but I forgot about something big. My main tank has ick! it is not prevalent in my fish due to them being thick, vibrant and healthy fish but I know there is ick. Well without thinking I placed the corals in the tank with not even dipping them! Well after a few days it turn out my fish now have ick or what i hpe is ick. To me the spots are what i saw in my other reef. I do not believe it is velvet due to the fish eating as well as the sugarlike appearance is not noticeable. When my tank gets ick I do not do the normal and take the fish out and treat them to me that puts even more stress on already stressed fish. I plan to up my feeding with more frozen food options add mussels almost everyday and seaweed everyday. This is the same strategy that I used on my other reef. I will never say this way prevents/kills the Ick. I decide to manage it such as Paul B does just in my special way. I know this thread will get some hate and say I am not doing the best for the fish. To me this is the best way. I just wanted to let others know always think twice of where things come from and always be careful of what you put in your tanks.

I do pretty much the same thing. Feed well. Selcon with dry foods and frozen stuff.

You're just choosing to manage ich instead of eradicating it. Nothing wrong with that.
