I am thinking of going all LED

I am thinking about doing away with my MH. But I'm not sure how I'm gonna do it but 8 would REALLY like to do a full custom LED build. I'm open to suggestions.

I am thinking about going from t5s mixed with LEDs to metal halides. I like what I am doing now, but have never tried halides because of the electric usage.

I've used LEDs ever since I got back into the hobby. My thought is that it takes some time to get them dialed in but once you do they are great. The T5 LED combo is very popular but mostly for spread and coverage not for PAR.

I think a lot of the negative stuff I've seen is from blasting stuff with too much light or buying something with LEDs that aren't strong enough. So just make sure you can dial them down and know what you're getting.
