I bleached my red dragon acro frag. Can I save it?

I got it from a local reefer that was running T5's. I run ocean revive LED's and all my other corals are fine. I started it on the sand bed for a week then put it mid tank (75g long. OR's are 13" above water.) and it is light pink now. I thought I lost it but I just spot fed corals reef roids tonight and noticed it slimed up like the other corals when I spot feed so I think it's still alive. I moved it to a shady place under the rock with medium flow. Is there anything else I can do?

It will be fine, but don't shade completely cause it needs some light

Med light, Med flow should do the trick. It is a deep water acro so, most of the time, it doesn't need allot of light or flow. Some folks blast theirs but I'm sure after some major conditioning. Mine is in Med light and random strong flow.

It's a smooth skin acro so the name "deep water" gets thrown around a lot. In all reality it loves light and flow. In lower light it gets a lighter pink, while the more light you give it that's when it gets that deep red it's known for. Here is a old pic of mine under 250w radiums and the colony was about half way up in a 180 gallon

Yes, "Deep Water" is used allot for many smooth skinned acros. It is what people are using these days, I don't know why. I prefer the pinkish red of my coral but as you indicated, if you want the deep red then higher light is useful in achieving it.

I know everyone's tank is different my red dragon gets more pink the higher I turn up my led powermodule. Gets more red in less light for me. I'm sure there's other factors involved but that's been my experience

Mine is pastel pink in high light
