Today was the day I finally get my 75 gal tank and build my stand!! This was all done from scratch with no template or blueprint to follow! I think it came out great we used 2×4s for the frames top and bottom then we used 2×6s for the 4 supports. Here are some pictures we still need to put doors on and paint but let me know what you think or any questions!

Nice woodworking!

But here's my recommendations:

1. Top the stand with 3/4 plywood. This will "level" the imperfections in the dimensional lumber.

2. Add 2 x 4's to each corner leg so that the 2 x 4 run from the top rail to the base rail. You currently have the screws/nails supporting the weight of the top cross braces.

Haha beat you to it there is plywood on the top just can't see in the picture lol and not quite sure what you mean by the 2x4s can you explain a little better and we used screws that were coated and extra durable btw haha

Regardless of the type of screws/nails, you don't want them carrying the load. I can best show you what I mean by posting the common dimensional stand design:

Note the corner purple boards and how they directly transfer the load from the top frame to the floor/lower frame. No fasteners are holding this load. When using this plan, tanks up to four feet, all boards are 2x4's (no center brace needed). With tanks longer than four feet, the top frame (red/yellow) needs to be 2x6's (and again, no center brace needed).

Hope this helps.
