i can not eliminate those horn things

can someone help me to remove horn things?

it is all over my tank. i mean everywhere. thousands of it.

Vermitid snails. They are a pain to deal with. As far as predators I've heard everything from emerald crabs to yellow coris wrasses. Best bet is to try and feed the tank less, do water changes and keep the water as clean as possible to starve those boogers out.

I think I've read that you can superglue them also, but depending on how many, that could be a job.

Cleaner tank and breaking them off when you have your hand in the tank. Most of mine are gone now, except for some back in cracks. But very few of those ever slime so I think they are mostly dead too.

They are masters at catching suspended particulate matter.
How established is the tank?

Why do you want them gone? They're filter feeders. I've got some that have made a home in my acros. From time to time I see those strands coming from the tube, super cool!

I'm actually thinking of putting them on the "naughty" list. Too many people are having issues with them being so prolific. They are definitely no longer be a "score" in my guide, but are being switched to a "watch them".

They are not prolific in my tank by any means........they come in on new coral sometimes but only a couple have survived past 3-6 months....could be my wrasse.

They don't seem to aggravate the host acro. What problems or concerns do you have @Lionfish Lair?

More and more people have them getting everywhere. The most recently was this sad sad announcement....

But I lost some fish last time I was away, and I'm thinking of taking it down. It's also become overrun with vermitid snails,

There's too many in my tank as well, for the amount of available food. I have a 3" single fish in a 210g tank that gets fed with a stick. There's zero food floating in there to even create extra detritus.

Hmmm, interesting. Do they cause a problem with other tank inhabitants or simply unsightly?

Some people have found that their mucous webs being constantly thrown over their corals are an irritant. They also can cement things together, being calcareous tube builders.

Their mucus webs can kill coral. Some corals seem ok with it, others not so much. Once the spread in the tank, they can be near corals that don't do well with them.
There seems to be no reliable biological control. Super glue is hit and miss, as they can find another way out of the tube. I use coral clippers and crunch up their shells.

Have you noticed which coral tend to do better or worse?

No. I actually think that they deal with it for a while, but after a time the irritation gets to be too much.

I cut them out from the base if I see one that I feel is a problem but my famosa wrasse helps out a lot when they pop out during the day
