Thanks any idea how to remove them from the tank?

they look like little bleached mini fan corals starting to grow right, not a base block algae

First of all, Welcome to R2R! That doesn't look like Hydrozoans to me, but I'm far from an expert. Lets see if we can get some expert eyes on it. #reefsqaud? While we're waiting, why don't you wander over to the "Meet and Greet section and introduce yourself to the rest of the family?

You can try to pull by hand otherwise smother with Kalk paste .
Liquid vibrant may help eradicate also

Strange thing is they are only growing in places not alot of light reaches they like the shade

was your rock " live rock "
Yes the whole tank was started with all live rock from LFS 8 months ago I've had these months and never seemed to realy bother anything but then noticed I had alot more then i had before

Some sort of sponge maybe? Sounds like sponge behavior. Doesn't look like sponge though.

I have had them in my systems , usually from colony rock ect that was in the ocean at some point.
These type never bothered anything in my system, also dont notice them until i rescape or move something then there is a colony that was basically in the dark there lol.

With over 3700 species in the subgroup alone ..........Hydrozoa is a subgroup of cnidarians , Hydrozoans refers to them collectively , now If I had said Hydra then I could understand how it does not look like one. Which I would agree with.
