I cant adjust the nyos skimmer.

I cant adjust my nyos skimmer no matter what i do. I want dry skim and all i get is bigg bubbles. I tried to go below the neck. But what happens is i barely get any skim if i do it that way. I know my tank is 5 weeks old its new. Is it like a waiting game? Or something wrong with the skimmer?

give it more time. your tank is nearly 5 months old as you stated. bio load is probably very low

Sometimes there is nothing to skim out in a tank. Set it so the bubbles are right at the bottom of the cup and any foam rises up in the cup.

I had the same issue. I had to build a stand for the skimmer. My Nyos 160 only works if it's only in 5 1/2 inches of water. Works like a champ now.

It actually looks fine in the video. You might be skimming a bit wet there though. Have you used skimmers before? Asking honestly, because your expectation may be different from the realities. My skimmers usually run on the drier side, and takes weeks to get even half full. They run for years like this without issue.

Its my first skimmer and nyos customer support is non existent even talking to ecotech people makes me question reality sometimes as they dont even know whats going on with the skimmer

Be patient. It will run when the time is right, you can't rush it along.

Make sure the water level is at the “Q” on the body and that will help

Yeah that sucks. Sorry to hear! Anyway, not sure exactly what you're expecting, but the video looks just fine.
