I can't get my salt open...

I ordered the 160g bucket of Instant Ocean sea salt off Amazon, but I can't figure out how on earth to get the stupid thing open! I realize it's a screw top, but I can't turn it.... @-@

Here I am wanting to start a reef, but I've been defeated by a humble salt bucket. Should I be concerned? XD
Either way, I need a little help, lol.

Are you sure it's a screw type? Mine is a peel the strip off and lift the lid (it's a purple lid). If it is a screw type, put on some rubber gloves and then place the bucket in between your feet and turn.

I can't even get the strip off T-T Maybe someone at a pet store around here can help me...

Grab the strip with some pliers and twist or rip it off. Hope that helps.

If it's still tough once you get the strip ripped off ..... invest a couple dollars into a 5 gallon bucket opener. Handy little tool and it makes it SO SO much easier!! Home Depot usually has them for about $3-4.
