I cant keep Tenuis!!!

Your original post made it sound like they were dying rapidly, but now it sounds like they die several months later. Pics of their stress would be great but I’m guessing 1 of these 3
1. Not enough fish poop. Get more fish and feed them more. Don’t worry about no3/po4 coming up. Elevated no3/po4 doesn’t kill sps. Not enough will. Not the whole story but it’s the easiest way to get the point across.
2. Lighting. Try to verify your getting 200-400 or with a meter.
3. Pests. A single dip doesn’t cure all potential pests.

Please dont be fool by the colors of tenuis from wild/mariculture especially those coming from indo. The colors might look attractive but most will turned brown during shipping. And they are very difficult to get them adjust without a good stable mature system. I found that tenuis coming from fiji is the most difficult to get them adjust to our home aquarium.

I have acquired 5 or so wild Tenuis colonies since indo re opened and I haven’t had issues keeping them alive or coloring up. Even after multiple qt tanks, dips and remounts. This was a grey Tenuis 2 months ago.

I don’t know why others have so many issues

Tenuis Whisperer :)

Yourself and a few below have mentioned feeding meaty foods... believe it or not this is the ONLY thing i DONT do.. i feed exclusively flakes and pellets. Maybe this has something to do with it
I would suspect if all other params are good then feeding some meaty food will help. Tenuis are one of the easiest and faster growing acros given the right conditions

Alk swings do not cause sps death. Hobbyist have been keeping acropora for decades before dosers and Hanna checkers and tridents. Your Tenuis need more fish poop. Get more fish and feed them more. Don’t worry about no3/po4 as much. Check for bugs on your acros. If you see any on the flesh you have an irritating pest that will slowly stress them out and kill them
