I caught a nudi now what?

so I came home from work and noticed my zoas where closed up. Upon further in inspection I seen something glowing green next the closed up zoa. I used a Turkey baster and sucked it up. I think it’s eating my zoa’s, all of the zoa’s are growing on the rocks so I can’t take them out to dip.

The tank is a 60 gallon cube with
2 leopard warasse
1 fairy warasse
1 yellow warasse
1 copperband (small)Jaw fish
Mandarin
Fire fish


I’m open to any and all ideas

Yep, you caught yourself a zoa eating nudi. The good news is that you have predators in your tank that should keep them at bay. The bad news, is that where there is one there are many more usually.

That’s a fatty... there will be more.. good news is they r very slow. So if you are able to spot one u can easily suck out w baster. Bad news is there’s probably eggs as well as others. I would stalk them at lights out and catch em in the act. Be it that u cannot pull out for dip ur going manual tedious hunting. Gonna have to be persistent for once the eggs hath they will be rt on the colonies again. I Hate Nudi’s!!!

Oh wow! If you can, try and pull those off with some tweezers.

Ya. That’s a bummer but almost a sure thing when u spot a fatty like urs. Always best to wipe them with a paper towel from my experience. Underwater rather tough for that. Could try some precision scraping w tweezers or dental tool. If u don’t get all the eggs out and some fall down or something while removing I would bet they will hatch. If got some thing, maybe even a smooth white glass cleaner pad try to wipe them down after removal of eggs, have a baster handy for removal too.be careful. Good luck bro, stay at it til all your Zoa’s are wide eyed and happy happy.

Sure, I just ordered a red led flashlight so I can hunt at night. I have it on Friday, send me a message on Monday I’ll keep all the ones I catch
