Hi guys iam new here , i have chipped my tank from the inside in the middle of the side pannel ( 1.6 m long ) the dent is small and i can barely feel it when i try to feel it , should i be worried ? Been just waiting for all my equipment to arrive and start it up so iam feeling a bit down now thinking j might have comprised the tank

That stinks, I’m sorry to hear that. But as long as there is no cracking, you should be fine. You could look into some silicone filling like they use to fix car windshields. ‍

i wanted to do that but i never use chemicals in my tank so i would be very scared about it honestly if its just looks idc cuz u cant really see it and i assume when it fills up it wont be as visible but my worry is structural damage my glass is 19mm and this dent i cant barley feel it but iam worried it would spider web

i will happily take that than it being compromised i spent way too much money on it and its equipment if this tank fails i will be out of the hobby for good thank you for the response

Nice 5/8in heavy weight glass , low iron chips slightly easier , should be fine , add a brace if need piece of mind

Seems like you have some time, id call up window chip specialist figure out whats in the product and see if it will cause negative effects. I know that when i had my chiped windshield fixed, if i didnt know exactly were it was, i would have never known there was a repair

I think u will be good i layed my tank down forgetting i had my bulkhead in and cracked it about 8in which is alot worse then your chip i silicone it and no leaks and its ben good one year now

thank you guys for the replies i have had a proffosional look at it and he said it wont affect the tank just the visuial part
