I was staring at some coral this afternoon (as one does) and happened to notice that a hermit was messing around with a shell right in front of the glass. I grabbed my camera and managed to get it set up in time to catch it swapping between shells.

It's pretty neat how they spin them around to inspect them before moving in.

Hermits look really strange when they're not in their shells (the swap is towards the end and *very* fast so feel free to skip to it).

Yea! I've only seen this once before, years ago. I bet this happens all the time in our tanks, but they're so fast about it we just miss it all the time.
