Can anyone tell me what this is thats growing in my live rock it hides when the lights are of or if you touch it?

Those are aptasia.

Those go in the list of the BAD hitchhikers.

best way to get rid of aiptasia is going to be by placing dynamite in your tank and getting as far as possible.... lol jk

Irritate the crap out of it and put a dab of super glue that should do it.

Peppermints are hit or miss, worth a try though. You can also try aptaisa X, superglue or covering it with kalk paste.

There's a thrid one top center. Good luck. I used peppermint shrimp to rid mine but they liked my zoas as well.

Just add pepirment shrimp. They are safe so do not worry

I've had a lot of luck with Peppermint shrimp. Ones from the gulf of Mexico are the best.
