Please ID this new guy that must of hatched. Haven't had any new additions since January. Starfish shape in middle of pic. Has white and red arms, green ring with white inside in its center. It's lying flat, but it wasn't there yesterday. I haven't had aiptasia, but this looks like it. Say it isn't so.........

Is it attached to the rock?
It wasn't there yesterday, so its mobile.
The arms aren't moving that much in a high flow area, more matted down.
Also, it's flat, no body.

I keep looking at all the pics of Aiptasia, but this is different. The arms are not smooth, but very bumpy. I have Rock Anemonies, could this be a baby?
I'm jumping on the pest anemone/aiptasia train.

Thanks, that could be it, but mine doesn't have that many arms.
Keep it, or cut it out from the herd?
These more than a few as you can see. I'd get a more positive ID and see if a keeper.
I'd also poke it and make sure what it might be/

Keep us updated on what you see. We'll keep our eyes open.
Update.... I'm sure I found what I was hoping not to. And that thing from yesterday disappeared, so I made the big mistake.....I looked, found, and now need to remove it and all it's little friends. Apitasia, right? What's my best option? Nudi? I'm thinking yesterday's ID was a baby, today I found Mom, and could swear it wasn't there yesterday. Apitasia are very mobile?
The arms being so nonuniform is so odd.
I guess I found Apitasia, but just this one, so far. See above at Lion, now what to do? If I suck it off will it try to eject spores?
I can remove rock, and Apitasia location is away from any corals.
H2O2. ???
