I'm new to zoanthids. I guessed these were rastas and chaos. If you know what they are I would appreciate the information.

Maybe top a rasta and bottom utter chaos . Look those up and see if similar .

Neither are rare . A as far as price it depends . R2R people tend to pay ridiculous prices . I have seen both for about 10 to 20 pp .

Here's a better picture.
. I was told utter chaos was rare and very expensive. One of my buddies said they were worth like $80. I guess he was wrong.

yup he was definitely wrong. Join a local club and you'll get a much better idea of what they are worth in your area

Those are Rastas . Utter chaos's used to be the big thing in zoas a few years back . Not as high dollar now .

They sometimes go even lower than that. Some people grow them both like mad but the utters don't grow well for me. Rastas do just fine.

I remember seeing a tiny head of chaos for $60. I've never seen any Rastas there before. I got lucky at another fishstore out of town, and found these guys for $15 each, claimed as no namers.

In NYC, rastsa can be seen for $5 to 10 per. Utter Chaos for 10$ per. No reason to pay more than that if buying from a hobbyist. I still see online vendors charging 1.5x to 2x as much.

I'm jealous! I never see any zoanthids for less than $20. Only one time I saw them for $15, but most of the time they are more than $30.

The best deals I've got is on r2r really, as far as actual named zoas from hobbiests.

Yeah I won't spend what I feel is a ridiculous price for a zoa just because it is a new fad/color . I see alot on R2R I would love to have simply because of the colors but can do without or might get lucky and find cheaper .

I've gotten a lot that are high dollar zoas and most of the time no more colorful than any others. The only one i found is worth the tag lately is speckled krak is just awesome and barely anyone has it. At least it's a good grower so i imagine it will make ours way around soon.
