so i did a calcium test and i thought it was very low like loooow and then i added a few squirts from the bottle then realized it was fine it was just 2 small squirts im doing a water change to morrow but will that be to late

How much did you add, what product, and how many gallons is your tank? I'm sure everything will be fine FWIW.

too late for what?

without knowing how big your tank is, what the product is, and how much is added, really hard to gauge any form of idea if you caused an overdose.

No it will be fine. If it was alk or something in a real small tank then maybe worry. Calcium really not going to hurt it though.

its called aqua philie calcium my tank is 20 gallons just up graded from 6gallons

any idea what the calcium currently is at? You said you were able to measure and found out it wasn't low prior to having added- so can you re-measure?

Regardless, high calcium won't cause any damage- if you exceed 600 ppm you typically just end up with a precipitation of calcium carbonate as it reacts with the carbonates in the water. Just check your alkalinity over the next week to make sure you haven't stripped out too much of your alkalinity buffer by the slight overdose.

its at 450 before i i was a dummy its the second time ive ever done this test but now i no read it read it again and as you do it i haven't checked it i didn't go crazy just went easy i was told to go slow with every thing as of now i feel better but when i get home all do a water change just to try after i check it to see if it did any thing thanks for the replies all let every one no

It is worth testing to be sure how high you went, but its unlikely to cause a problem. At some point it will precipitate out, either with alk or something else. Of course, the problem is that if you do this often enough you get a deposit on your pumps/heaters, but that's easy enough to deal with.
