I came home today to see this on my LT Tang. He has a spot on one side next to his head, and another similar spot on the other side on his stomach.

I can't really see much of anything except for the last pic.

Can you take some pics with whites on and post?

It's possible the fish scraped a rock or something. Again really hard to see much in pics.

Agree looks like it could be a coral sting but the blues need to go for better pics :)

Do you ever see any aggresion between this fish and the sailfin?

No. I have had both of them for 3 months. They were together at the LFS and have always been ok with each other. They even hide under the same rock together if they get spooked.

This may sound crazy, but that kinda looks like a bite mark from a blenny. Do you have one?

i had an achilles tang that came in super clean and after being in mt QT developed same kinda mark on lower bottom side. i figured it was scrape wound and let it ride. it took atleast a month for it to disappear. but it did go away on its own. i didnt treat for it. Although i had CP in the QT as ich treatment.
Only other tank mate was a purple tang but i have separators so they were in 2 different sections.

He is big. He is as long as the LT. I have seen him chase the coral beauty from the clip but never the tangs.

I would like to thank everyone for their input. It has been a fews days and everything has cleared up. Im starting to notice my blenny being more aggressive so I have to go with drstardust was correct. Awesome diagnosis for what you had to go on. This hobby will never stop amazing me.
