It's Monday, a new day and a new week! This week on R2R we're going to focus our QOTD topics around, what should be an interesting subject, DOSING! There are A LOT of things we can dose into our tanks, trace elements, food, medications, etc. The first thing we need to get out of the way is to see who's dosing and what you're dosing! So let's chat about it!

Do you "dose" product into your reef aquarium and if so list all the things you do dose please? Automatic and Manual Dosing both!

I dose kalk though an avast stirrer plus 2 part for calcium and alkalinity control. Just a few weeks ago, I started dosing vinegar to hopefully control nitrates and phosphates (I once again had a negative GFO experience). I also “dose” trace elements via AWC system.

ALK, iodide, vanadium, rubidium, chromium, manganese, cobalt, iron, daily.

CAL, MAG, no3/po4, potassium, strontium, flouride, occasionally/monthly as per home testing/ATI ICP results. i do dose other elements as needed by the ICP as well as i run the reef moonshiners method @PSXerholic !

I assume question pertains to automatic dosing?
If so, alk and CA only

Just seeing your signature and had to laugh and recognize your absolutely brilliant husband logic for the ages!

Oh yeah, Ca-Alk-Mg. Cheers!

ab+ and I am convinced it does good things for acropora
Iodine
Strontium
Aqua Medic Trace C

Running calcium reactor and some carbon. I dose manually, the AB+ daily and I dip the fish's morning feeding in it, the elements I add if the tank seems to 'want' something. Its not very scientific but I'm really happy with the health and growth of the corals.

The only thing I dose with a dosing pump is All For Reef.

Daily: (takes less than 5 minutes total)
Alkalinity
Calcium
Tropic Marin Part C
Iodine
Iron
Chromium
Vanadium
MicroBacter7
Zinc
Nickel
Manganese
Liqui-Mud from Reef Moonshiners

Weekly/Monthly/Whenever ICP calls for it:
DIY Coral Snow
Magnesium
Fluoride
Potassium
Strontium
Molybdenum
Rubidium
Barium
Boron
Bacto Balance

Might be a couple others. Seems like a lot but is very quick and easy. Alkalinity, calcium, Part C and magnesium are automated.

All for Reef
NP Bacto Balance
Microbacter7
EasySPS EVO
Alk as required
Aquaforest Life Source once per week
Nyos Active Elements once per week
Coral Snow a few times a week

Automated
Ca
Alk
Mg
Nopox

Soon to be automated (2nd doser going in)
Red Sea Trace Colors ABCD

Other Daily
Red Sea AB+ Hope to automate this eventually
Nyos Zero
Nyos Bio
Neophos
Chaetogro
Phyto

Once a week
MB 7
MB Clean
May try to auto dose these eventually

Dose Daily AlK and Calcium with auto dose pump.

Manually Weekly dose MAG and Red sea trace colors A (Iodine,Bromine and Fluorine)
Due to ICP test saying all 3 of these were almost 0 in my tank.

I dose everything everyday. all red sea products for major and trace elements. AB+ for amino. plus neonitro and neophos . Just installed my Versa pump yesterday to help with my chores

My doser has soda ash with A- trace, calcium chloride with K+ trace, and part C. The part C seems to keep my magnesium up on its own.

If BRS(or hopefully another vendor so I don't have to give BRS more money) gets AF power boost in stock it will be the 4th spot in my doser.

I add about 30 ml of All for Reef into my 5 gallon RO/DI top off which happens every other day.

Every day is phytoplankton and KZ flatworm stop. Alternating every other day is RedSea AB+ and Brightwell restor.

I recently started AF growth boost and AF amino mix but I'm not sure if I like them yet.

I feed reef roids or gonipower to raise phosphate or use neophos if my feather duster population is getting out of control. I have benepets too but I don't like how it seems to lower my phosphate.

I'll add microbactor7 if I add rocks or move things around in the sump. I'll use biofuel(soon to be vodka when the container I have is empty) if my phosphate tests over .1 before feeding(this doesn't happen often anymore)

I'll add neonitro once a week or less depending on my nitrate level, I try to keep it around 5.
